I’m an RTS award winning Producer / Director with a strong journalistic background, directing a wide range of documentary, specialist factual and current affairs programmes. I’ve worked all over the UK and around the world on a variety of challenging shoots, from extreme remote environments to suburban streets. I usually work on long-term documentary projects, always work efficiently and creatively in the edit, and occasionally produce fast turnaround, high quality current affairs films. I strive to get the best out of everyone I work with; contributors, colleagues and crew. I specialise in securing difficult access and maintaining it throughout the production and beyond. I love making great looking, and popular television.

I shoot to a high standard and can solve most technical challenges. I own a full Sony FX6 kit and I'm extremely comfortable with all the latest camera technology and rigs; with a particular focus on Sony FX and A7 series cameras. I own a full set of prime and zoom lenses, and a wide range of lighting and sound kit. I am also very comfortable working with DOP’s and have a great deal of experience directing bigger crews.

‘Fascinating documentary… an important watch.’ – John Simpson

‘The Forgotten Frontline, review: a searing exposé of Britain’s care home tragedy. This excellent film combined both heart and policy. It demonstrated great storytelling and analysis, with extraordinary interviews. It was a searing, emotional film, very powerful and gave a devastating account.’ The Telegraph.

‘The camerawork throughout was respectful, mostly telling the story through the quiet fury and despair of the relatives and managers’ – The Times

‘A gut-wrenching look at the senselessness of bloodsports’ – The Guardian

‘Sarah Payne: A Mother’s Story trod softly and let the terrible facts speak for themselves’ – The Telegraph
